The Colorado Startups community and Founder Institute have partnered to create the state's most comprehensive resource for entrepreneurs. This document is open-source, so the 10,000+ member startup community can make additions and edits as the ecosystem evolves.

RECRUIT BIG VC FUNDS TO COLORADO
Colorado's ecosystem has grown enormously in the past five years, boasting thousands of resources for startups more than ever in the state's history!
As for Venture Capital ("VC"), from analyzing the Ecosystem Canvas, Colorado still lacks growth VC firms (funds with $100M+ in deployable capital) based in the state. Less than five of the plethora of VC firms listed in the canvas are growth funds.
The next stage of development in Colorado's startup ecosystem is venture. The goal is to turn the Colorado ecosystem from a capital-importing ecosystem to a capital-exporting ecosystem.
As a startup community dedicated to continuous growth, we ask that all community members highlight the opportunity and recruit $100M+ VC funds to open primary or secondary headquarters here in Colorado! Show them this Ecosystem Canvas and let them know the resources to build growth companies are here. There is an opportunity for bold VC firms to capitalize on the startup ecosystem's growth.
