Code of Conduct

As the Colorado Startups community has evolved from a handful of entrepreneurs to 10,000+ startup members (“Startupers”) in the Social Groups (Facebook, LinkedIn, and Slack), posting guidelines for the social groups have been created to ensure that the groups deliver value. When posting in social groups, please refer to this Code of Conduct.

Engage Initially

The more you engage, the more you will get from this group. First, invite your friends to the social groups, the more, the merrier. You'll need at least three group friends to comment and post. After that, the more you react, comment, and post, the more likely you are to create connections.

Focus on Startups in Colorado

Posts need to be about building the next generation of BIG companies here in Colorado. The focus is on fast-growth companies going after large markets. #BuildBig

Be Kind and Courteous

This community is a welcoming environment; we're all on the startup roller coaster together. Let's treat everyone with respect. Degrading comments will not be tolerated. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.

Promote Events

Posts about events in the community that bring entrepreneurs together are encouraged! Please refer to our Promote Event posting guidelines.

Request Help

Posts asking for help, a recommendation, or a resource for building your company are encouraged! Please refer to our Request Help posting guidelines.

Celebrate Wins

Crowdfunding Campaigns

Posts about crowdfunding campaigns and ProductHunts are encouraged.

No SOLICITATIONS

While service providers are critical to the startup ecosystem, posts soliciting services are prohibited. Also, while we appreciate the hustle to get sales, posts selling products are prohibited. The social groups would be flooded with solicitation posts if allowed.
