COLORADO HAS one of the largest startup communities in the world
The purpose of Colorado Startups is to provide a starting place and a growing place for entrepreneurs building the next generation of BIG companies here in Colorado. This community comprises three social groups (LinkedIn, Slack, and Facebook) to help connect and provide resources to entrepreneurs, from first-time founders to seasoned executives.
Social Groups
The heart of Colorado Startups is connecting entrepreneurs to one another as well as the greater startup ecosystem. The three social groups are open for any entrepreneur to join and are the best way to network within Colorado’s startup community.
SLACK
For Startupers to better use the social groups, guidelines were created to aid entrepreneurs in requesting help, offering help, celebrating wins, and gaining information. These programs facilitate connections between entrepreneurs and the greater startup community.
Resources
Gain resources through the open-sourced Ecosystem Canvas, a community-edited google document that lists all known startup resources in the state. Also, for those interested in knowing the champion companies of our community, view the fastest-growing companies in the state through The Leaderboard.
ECOSYSTEM CANVAS
The Startup Ecosystem Canvas provides local entrepreneurs with an extensive list of resources for their startup journey, based on their stage.
THE LEADERBOARD
The Leaderboard showcases the 20 fastest-growing companies in Colorado semiannually. The initiative is a way to recognize the top startups and their founders.
Events
Colorado Startups has created a public Google calendar for startup community members to find and follow the startup events throughout the year. This calendar is an excellent way to get plugged into the Colorado Startups ecosystem. Also, if the calendar is missing an event, you can recommend adding an event to the calendar!
GET NETWORKING
Making lasting connections that will help power you as an entrepreneur to grow your business is imperative. Colorado Startups created the Event Connect program, allowing event and meetup organizers to unite entrepreneurs. Also, each year, there is a giant celebration for the startup community, “Party on a Tuesday,” the premier event for the community.
